Please note that not all surfaces are suitable for sealant application. Ideally, the area to be sealed needs to be completely flat (for example, block paved areas with uneven paviers or breaks between the blocks are normally unsuitable for sealing). Sealant should also be applied when the temperatures are warm to hot as in effect, the sealant is 'baked' onto the surface which has been cleaned and forms a translucent overskin between the blocks and dirt and oil which falls onto the sealant without penetrating the surface of your paving.

Paving sealants are applied with the objective of keeping that which is below the sealant down (i.e. weeds), and that which is above the sealant out (i.e. dirt and oil).

Sealing paving should be considered a recommended part of maintaining driveways and patios.
